Videojet and Esko to showcase complete design-to-production workflow at Interpack 2026
Demonstrations connect data flow, pack-to-pallet coding, and traceability
Düsseldorf, Germany, 04 March 2026 — At Interpack 2026, Videojet Technologies, a global leader in coding, marking and printing solutions, will exhibit alongside Esko, a global provider of integrated software and hardware solutions for packaging. Together, the companies will demonstrate how packaging data moves from design and prepress through production, coding, labelling and palletisation, illustrating how information is applied, verified and managed across packaging operations. Interpack 2026 takes place 7–13 May 2026 at Messe Düsseldorf, where Videojet and Esko will exhibit in Hall 8b, stand C14.
In an interactive experience, visitors will see this end-to-end packaging workflow in action, following a packaged product as it moves through key stages of the packaging lifecycle. The experience illustrates how packaging data flows from digital design into production and is carried through the operation using connected packaging processes.
Within this integrated environment, Videojet will showcase how its coding, marking, labelling and software solutions operate on the production line across primary, secondary and tertiary packaging. Live demonstrations will highlight the accurate and consistent application of variable data, including dates, lot and batch codes, and 2D codes, across a range of packaging materials, supporting traceability, compliance and efficient packaging operations.
“Packaging manufacturers continue to face increasing demands as designs and substrates change more frequently, while expectations around sustainability and traceability continue to grow,” said Amelie Wulff, vice president, EMEA commercial, at Videojet. “At Interpack, we are demonstrating how Videojet solutions support connected packaging operations by reliably applying and managing production data on the line, helping manufacturers maintain consistency and confidence across materials and packaging levels.”
Coding and marking solutions from pack to pallet
In addition to previewing a new package labeler, Videojet will present a full line of coding and marking solutions supporting connected packaging operations from individual products through cases and pallets.
- Continuous inkjet (CIJ) printers, including the Videojet 1880+ series and Videojet 1580+, will show high-speed, non-contact coding of date and batch information on pouches and other packaging materials, with solutions suited for demanding production environments and fast-moving packaging lines.
- Laser marking solutions on display will apply permanent, high-quality codes without inks or fluids. Demonstrations will include systems equipped with Videojet Smart Focus™ technology, such as the Videojet 7920 UV laser and Videojet 3350 CO₂ laser, as well as a new fibre laser marking on metal components. Other laser applications will include QR codes and alphanumeric codes marked on pouches, HDPE bottles, and paperboard.
- High-resolution printing on cartons and flexible packaging will be presented using the soon-to-be-launched Videojet 8530 thermal inkjet printer and the Videojet 6530 thermal transfer overprinter, with integration into packaging lines and centralised coding control systems.
- End-of-line operations will be represented through direct-to-case printing and automated labelling, including the Videojet 2380 large-character inkjet printer for secondary packaging, the Videojet 9560 print-and-apply labeller for cases, and the Videojet 9560 PL pallet labeller for distribution.
- Complementing the hardware demonstrations, Videojet software will support the standardisation of coding operations across packaging levels, using rules-based controls to help reduce manual entry errors, support GS1-compliant barcodes, and maintain accuracy as production requirements change.
